Melissa J. Willms-Gol is Board Certified in Estate Planning
and Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
She has been Of Counsel with the firm since 1999. Melissa received
an LL.M. in Tax Law from the University of Houston Law Center
in 1996 and a J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law
in 1992. She is also a 1987 graduate from The University of
Texas at Austin with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Sociology.
Melissa’s practice areas focus on Estate
and Tax Planning, Wills and Trusts, Probate, Estate and Trust
Administration, and Business Law.
Melissa is licensed as an attorney by the Supreme
Court of Texas and is admitted to practice before the United
States Tax Court. She is a member of the State Bar of Texas
and its Sections on Real Estate, Probate & Trust; and Taxation.
She is also a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas
and Houston Estate & Financial Forum, as well as the Houston
Bar Association and its Section on Probate, Trusts & Estate.
Melissa is a native Texan who loves animals,
especially her pets, Apache, Niblet, Cheetah, and Nabru. She
likes to travel and experience other cultures. She also enjoys
reading, exercising, and swimming.
