	George Martinez is President and co-founder of Chrysalis Partners, LLC. His extensive background in executive training, coaching and organizational development developed while serving in his current capacity as Chairman of the Board and one of the original founders of Sterling Bancshares, Inc., a Houston, Texas headquartered public company traded on Nasdaq and its subsidiary, Sterling Bank, a commercial bank that operates 37 full-service banking offices.
	During the past five years, Mr. Martinez has provided extensive training to corporations, universities and individuals worldwide. His programs have helped guide companies and their leaders through expansion and organizational restructuring, exceeding target goals and creating and identifying strategic planning and visioning. He has helped develop compensation programs for executives and has provided development coaching for sales teams and thereby helping to exceed sales goals. For the past four years, he has coached a department chairman at one of the most prestigious medical universities. His current clients’ industries include chemical, energy, financial services, office products, academics and medicine.
	Mr. Martinez is fluent in Spanish and currently teaches a course on leadership development at Rice University. He has been published in the Community Banker and under his leadership has guided Sterling Bank to be named on Fortune Magazine’s 100 Best Companies To Work For in 2003 and 2004. < Back to Bios
